Instagram Font Generator

About this Tool

AllThatConverter's Instagram Font Generator turns a bio, display name, highlight title, or caption into IG fonts you can copy and paste. Instagram does not load a custom font file in those fields, so the tool replaces Latin letters and digits with Unicode characters that look bold, script, fraktur, circled, or decorative. Hangul, kana, kanji, and emoji stay as typed. With hashtags and @mentions kept as plain text, Instagram still links them. The Fonts, Effects, Short decor, and Long decor tabs group the styles, and a star saves favorites in this browser only. Each row shows a count against the bio (150), name (30), highlight (15), or caption (2,200) limit. Blank lines are rewritten with an invisible Braille space (U+2800) so paragraph gaps survive a paste. Styling, counting, and favorites stay in your browser and are not uploaded.

How to Use

1

Type or paste the bio, display name, highlight title, or caption you want to style. An empty box previews the sample sentence.

2

Choose a limit: bio (150), name (30), highlight (15), or caption (2,200). Each style shows its count and an over-limit mark.

3

Leave “Keep #hashtags and @mentions” on so those tokens are not restyled and Instagram can still link them.

4

Pick a look from the Fonts, Effects, Short decor, or Long decor tab. Star the styles you reuse so they collect under Favorites.

5

Click the card or the copy button. Blank lines in the result already contain the invisible space that keeps the gap.

6

Paste into the display name, bio, highlight title, or caption, and check Instagram’s preview before you save. Usernames cannot take these characters.

Key Scenarios & Use Cases

Profile bio

Write a short introduction in script or bold letters and stay inside the 150-character bio. Leave a business name or keyword in plain text if people need to search or hear it clearly.

Display name

Style the name shown on the profile within 30 characters. The @username still allows only letters, numbers, periods, and underscores, so decorative characters belong in the display name.

Highlight titles

Turn a cover name into circled letters or spaced text. Any style past 15 characters is marked over the limit, so you can drop titles that would be cut on the cover.

Captions with working tags

Style the sentence and leave #hashtags and @mentions as normal text. The 2,200-character caption limit shows how much of the budget the decoration uses.

Short and long decorations

Wrap a line with a short mark such as a heart, star, or flower, or with a longer frame. Korean or Japanese text on the same line stays readable.

Bios and captions with paragraphs

Blank lines between paragraphs receive the invisible U+2800 space, so the gap remains after you paste into Instagram. Check the line breaks before you copy.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

No. Instagram does not load a custom font file in a bio or caption.

The generator replaces Latin letters and digits with Unicode characters that look bold, script, fraktur, sans-serif, monospace, or circled. After you paste, the app shows those characters, so the style remains.

No. Instagram usernames allow only letters, numbers, periods, and underscores.

Styled characters belong in the display name, bio, highlight title, and caption. The username field rejects them or strips them out.

Hangul, kana, and kanji have no matching letters in the Unicode decorative alphabets.

The tool changes A–Z and 0–9 and keeps everything else, including emoji. An English brand name inside a Korean sentence is the part that changes style.

Yes. The number on each card counts Unicode code points.

Underline, overline, tilde, dot-above, and strikethrough add a combining mark, so one visible letter can count as two. Short decorations, long decorations, middle dots, and fullwidth spaces count as well. Shorten any row marked over the limit before you paste. Instagram’s own counter can differ by a character or two, so confirm the preview when a row turns red.

A letter stays as typed when Unicode has no counterpart for that style.

Small caps leave q and x unchanged. Subscript leaves b, c, d, f, g, q, w, y, and z unchanged. Bold, script, fraktur, sans-serif, and circled styles on the Fonts tab cover the Latin alphabet and digits more completely.

Blank lines between paragraphs receive the invisible Braille space U+2800.

Instagram collapses a truly empty line, so that character keeps the gap. Readers see the spacing, not the character.

A screen reader may announce decorative Latin letters differently from ordinary A–Z.

Search often fails to match the styled text to the original word. Keep a business name, place, or keyword in plain text, and style only the English words you want to decorate.

No. Styling and counting run only in your browser, and the text is not sent to a server.

Favorites stay in this browser’s local storage. They are not synced to another device, and they disappear if you clear site data.
